  • Overview

    This position supports BD PI Supplier Quality related work streams.

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for data and task management associated with the Supplier Quality function.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Maintains databases associated with the Supplier Quality function; data coordination / collection and updates (e.g…ASL, Status, SCARs, Scorecards, Significant Events, Bioburden Monitoring, Audit Schedule Execution, Supplier Quality Agreements, Action and Decisions, etc…)
    • Management of work streams associated with the Supplier Quality function;  tracking of deliverables and associated metrics 
    • Monthly Supplier Management Committee (SMC) meeting; management of inputs, meeting preparation, coordination and presentation, and management of outputs (actions and decisions)
    • Maintains supplier files
    • Coordination with adjacent functions and the management of meetings necessary to support the execution of the Supplier Quality function
    • Prepares and provides metric updates

    Basic Qualifications

    • Must read, write, and understand English proficiently
    • Must have strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • Must possess good decision making skills and use discretion when necessary
    • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to summarize succinctly events and issues
    • Strong computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MasterControl, MicroStrategies and flowcharting software
    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills to keep a number of simultaneous projects moving forward
    • Ability to interact effectively with other departments within the company
    • Must adhere to strict deadlines

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or comparable years of experience
    • Working knowledge of Quality Systems Regulations (QSR) and ISO
    • Medical Device Industry is preferred

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment.  The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
