    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    The Brand Marketing Project Manager is responsible for the management of brand marketing projects including both the internal brand marketing team resources and external partners. This position plays an important role in ensuring that adequate project information is received, helping to create appropriate schedules, coordinating resources, obtaining estimates, and helping to manage those resources in an effort to efficiently and effectively complete the project.


    The Brand Marketing Project Manager will be aware of budgets, help to gather pricing, and ensure that invoicing is delivered to the responsible parties in a timely fashion. This position is responsible for the dynamic communication of information on marketing projects and plays a key role in making sure that Bard’s brand is appropriately delivered.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Lead communication efforts with internal customers. This includes understanding the communication need, obtaining detailed information, articulating that information and the project over view to the right resources, and helping to facilitate communication through completion of the project.
    • Understand the brand marketing communication resources available. Be able to assess the project efficiently and through a thorough understanding of available internal and external resources gather the right people to help solve the problem.
    • Balance a dynamic project list. The variety of projects from long-term projects to immediate needs, this position will need to be agile and effective at juggling a large and ever changing project list. This includes tracking projects and ensuring key deadlines are met.
    • Help to promote high brand marketing communication standards. The Brand Marketing Project Manager will play a key role in not just making sure that projects are completed in a timely manner, but also focusing on ensuring the highest level of work. This role has unique visibility to all marketing communication and therefore has a unique responsibility to help maintain a strong brand.
    • Step forward to be a proactive communicator within the marketing department. With the large number of internal clients including product management, executives, HR, and engineering it is crucial that this role becomes an effective internal communicator. This means stepping forward to help solve communication problems and proactively offering the departments unique skills when appropriate.
    • Facilitate external vendor/partner communication and coordination. The brand marketing communication department frequently works with outside partners including printers, video editors, PR, digital firms, and even freelance designers. This position will help in communication with these groups. This may include gathering estimates, tracking production, and providing the vendors necessary information important to the projects they are developing.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to understand articulate and facilitate professional communication with customers and within the team.
    • Ability to critically think through and troubleshoot problems.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Must have proficiency in the use of personal computers including all related software applications – PowerPoint, Excel - and experience with graphic arts software highly preferred.
    • Understand budgets ensure projects are completed within budget confines.
    • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently.
    • Self-motivated and detail oriented with ability to work independently.
    • Good judgment, creativity, flexibility, ability to meet deadlines, high ethical standards.
    • Knowledge of BPV policies and procedures.
    • Customer service oriented.

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing preferred.
    • Working experience and knowledge of all aspects of advertising and marketing.
    • Project management training and/or certification preferred.
    • Working experience and knowledge of all aspects of advertising and marketing.
    • 2-3 years experience in a customer oriented role.
    • 2-3 years project management experience.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment.  The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
