  • Overview

    The Sr. Product Manager, is responsible for the strategic and tactical implementation of the marketing programs to support the fast-paced growth franchise of Targeted Temperature Management of BD.

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    • Globally develops and implements product strategies to support a growth rate of 500 basis points above market growth rate.
    • Owns clinician relationship management and drives engagement and voice of customer activities with clinicians to quantify business opportunities of unmet clinical needs.
    • Co-leads assigned product development teams and performs all associated marketing responsibilities. Represents the needs of the customers and the strategic vision to the team through launch and post-market assessment.
    • Develops and monitors sales tools and messaging that support the value proposition of the TTM franchise.
    • Provides operational support to ensure accurate forecasting, product allocations and customer communications.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Develop expertise in the field of Targeted Temperature Management - understand market segment potential, trends, and needs
    • Manage all aspects of the product lifecycle including new product development
    • Maintain market share model and help develop strategies to maintain BDs market leadership position
    • Proactively identify and execute on sales support needs
    • Monitor competitive and market activity to insightfully develop and implement strategies to support our value proposition
    • Develop and adjust forecasts with Sales leadership
    • Conduct quantitative voice of customer events applying Bio design mythology
    • Define, develop and execute pricing strategies and programs to optimize sales results and profitability
    • Define 5-year sales plan for the segment

    Basic Qualifications

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Analytical/Strategic thinking ability and mental agility
    • Strong command of MS Office Suite. Outstanding Power Point skills a must
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with team members, and ability to develop collegial relationships with physicians and nurses
    • Must possess a positive “can-do” attitude
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Must have a strong work ethic; must be a “self-starter” with the ability to work productively with minimal supervision
    • Ability to write and execute a marketing plan
    • Ability to travel
    • Receptive to coaching and feedback

    Education and/or Experience

    • College degree (BA minimum) required, preferably in business management or marketing
    • MBA preferred
    • Working in a sales-focused environment essential
    • Experience with numerous product launches
    • Experience analyzing business opportunities and making recommendations to senior management.
    • Experience leading project teams and product management and developing marketing plans.
    • Minimum five years experience in marketing/sales, preferably in the field of medical devices
    • Must have evidence of being a team player and working well with others

    Physical Demands

    Work Environment

    This position works in a normal office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.  Frequent travel is required. #LI-CW1
