    The Surgery business unit is situated in a central location, surrounded by a scenic coastline with easy access to T.F. Green Airport, AMTRAK Train Stations and Route 95, a major highway connecting to Providence, Connecticut, Boston and New York City within a short amount of time.

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    In this position, the Sr. Financial Analyst will assist with the FP&A and accounting requirements for BD Interventional's Surgery business unit.

    Essential Job Functions

    1. Month-end closing and forecasting
    2. Participate in annual budget and monthly forecasting processes
    3. Balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation to the General Ledger
    4. Assist in the preparation of year-end corporate reporting requirements – Annual Report, Tax Package and 10-K Package
    5. Participate on Project Teams as assigned
    6. Ensure compliance with Corporate financial policies
    7. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
    8. Special projects as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting and FP&A experience
    • Strong software skills including Excel and database applications
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Leadership ability
    • Willingness to relocate to other locations within BD in the future
    • Ability to travel approximately 10% of time

    Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

    • Professional certifications preferred.
    • Prior work in a manufacturing environment preferred.
