Responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to create sourcing and planning strategies for the procurement of materials, production and services required to meet all contractual specifications at assigned location. Responsible for production planning (Tempe and selected 3rd party suppliers), budgeting, inventory and purchase price variance. Manage direct reports consisting of department planners, purchasing/buyers and analysts.
Customer and Key Contacts:Collaborate with senior management located in Marketing, Sales, Operations, New Product Development, Finance, Accounting, Quality and R&D. Specific 3rd party supplier leadership to ensure consistent output and continuity of supply. Lead solution reviews and provide ongoing feedback on selected solution, implementation status and timeline
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations required; Masters or MBA preferred
A minimum of 5 years Sourcing, Materials Management and/or Operations, and a minimum of (2) two years people management are required.
8-10+ years experience in Purchasing and material
3+ years experience in project management
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. The employee may be in a confined work space (i.e. cubicle, clean room or lab). Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
