    BD Urology and Critical Care a BD Company is seeking to fill the position of Sr. Manager, Business Development in Covington, GA.  Bard Medical has joined BD together, advancing the world of health. 

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    The Sr. Manager, Strategy and Business Development screens markets and companies to identify acquisition opportunities in the form of: 1) Revenue generating companies with strategic fit to Bard Medical’s business 2) Pre-commercial companies and product lines that can be acquired to broaden Bard Medical’s current business 3) New technologies and intellectual property that can enable new product development or significantly enhance current products in the portfolio. Once companies or markets are identified, the Manager assists or leads the development of the business model which serves as the basis negotiating a transaction and for the business plan once an agreement is closed.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist in the development of business cases to support acquisitions and strategic partnerships
      • Financial models, market models and sales forecast execution
      • Determine VOC needs and drive execution of VOC with clinicians or KOLs
    • Collaborate cross functionally across the business to assess NBD opportunities
    • Identify New Business Development (NBD) opportunities (products, patents, technology, companies) within current, adjacent or new markets through networking, clinical expertise and market knowledge
    • Develop and present comprehensive business case to the senior management
    • Support the negotiation of business terms with potential business partners
    • Travels as required for specific projects, and attend medical meetings and conventions.

    Basic Qualifications

    •Comprehension of finance and accounting strongly preferred. •Experience and knowledge of the medical device industry •Ability to understand clinical literature and engage in detailed discussions with KOLs •Ability to design and conduct VOC engagements that lead to insight and relevant business information that supports or guides decisions •Advanced strategic thinking skills •Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills. Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. •Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus, professionalism, coaching, and team building. •Strong listening and assessment skills. •Strong questioning and problem-solving skills.

    Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

    1. Proficient with financial statements, competitive analysis valuations and function assessment.
    2. Thorough knowledge of the team concept for work groups.
    3. Ability to network business sources for projects.
    4. Effective writing and presenting skills.
    5. Management background in the medical devise industry.
    6. Effective negotiating skills.
    7. Thorough understanding of various technologies, and an ability to explain such technologies to those who don’t have a technical background.

    Education and/or Experience

    • BS Degree required, MBA preferred.
    • Five to seven (5-7) years experience in business related function. i.e., mgmt consulting, finance, and/or marketing.
    • Business Development experience preferred
