    The Surgery business unit is situated in a central location, surrounded by a scenic coastline with easy access to T.F. Green Airport, AMTRAK Train Stations and Route 95, a major highway connecting to Providence, Connecticut, Boston and New York City within a short amount of time.

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    In this position, the Analyst will assist the Cost Supervisor in day-to-day activities of the department. The position will be responsible budgeting and forecast coordination, as well as monthly financial reporting and month end close requirements for manufacturing facilities under the supervision of the Cost Supervisor. This position may also assist in audit and SOX requests, financial modelling, and management presentations on an ad hoc and as needed basis.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Perform month-end close and reporting duties
    • Analyze monthly variances and prepare summary reports for management presentations.
    • Assist with the annual budget preparation and periodic forecasts.
    • Perform ad hoc reporting on a periodic basis as requested.
    • Develop operating procedures/systems to improve financial and management reporting as required.
    • Assist with financial modeling for various investment proposals.
    • Assist with ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
    • Special projects as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
    • Familiarity with developing budgets, forecasts, and variance analytics
    • Strong software skills including Excel and database applications
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to lead projects
    • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to travel occasionally

    Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

    CPA/CMA preferred.
