    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    This position supports Supplier Controls with respect to risk (patient, compliance, business) and business process improvement.

    Essential Job Functions

    Support supplier capability analysis and actions to address capability deficits.

    Support audit schedule generation and execution.

    Support supplier approval

    Support part qualification plan generation and execution

    Support supplier management committee meetings

    Support collection, analysis and interpretation of data into actionable plans and the execution of those plans

    Participate on cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate supplier risk.

    Participate and provide input to training on department/division procedures, and policies.

    Participate in project planning, budgeting, scheduling and tracking.

    Participate in internal and supplier audits.

    Update supplier system status and supplier file.

    Support the development and implementation of procedures.

    Understand and follow company procedures on regulatory requirements.

    Provide positive example and actively promote compliance to all standards.

    Maintain a professional working relationship with internal and external customer and support staff.

    Prepare and present project updates and technical discussions.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of regulated manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to make and present engineering decisions (critical thought)
    • Ability to make decisions using basic statistics
    • Ability to define a problem and perform root cause analysis (basic investigation)
    • Ability to work on cross functional teams
    • Familiarity with engineering drawing and measurement basics
    • Familiarity with process risk assessment, validation and control plans
    • Familiarity with manufacturing and quality systems
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Oral and written presentation skills
    • Must read, write and understand English. 
    • Must be detailed in handling information/data.

     

    Education and/or Experience

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical engineering preferred).
    • One year of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment.  The employee frequently is required to talk and hear.The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
