    Bard has joined BD, together advancing the world of health.  BD Urology & Critical Care, formerly Bard Medical, is looking to fill a Document Control Coordinator II position at our Covington, GA division headquarters.  

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    The Document Control Coordinator works in the Quality Assurance Document Control area and administers the document control and issuance functions.  This position includes this general function, as well as other duties in support of document control, Project/Design Control, Engineering Change Request (ECR) systems, and implementation of electronic documentation and change control system, as well as interacting with the JDE ERP system.



    Essential Job Functions

    • Issues documents and Projects/CRs/waivers
    • Coordinate and process document change requests in the EDMS
    • Responsible for maintaining the project number log/CSA log
    • Responsible for maintaining the “Product Hold” spreadsheet and JDE QA “Product Hold”.
    • Responsible for maintaining filing system for released document contingency files.
    • Maintains the archiving of individual documents and project records.
    • Assists other members of Document Control team via cross training.
    • Responsible for maintenance of the BMD-Covington Standards Library.
    • Complete word processing/redlines of documents as necessary.
    • Conducts EDMS user training to all user levels; Viewer, Reviewer/Approver and Power Users.
    • Act as the EDMS Site Administrator backup as necessary.
    • Provide all user levels with EDMS system support.
    • Assist in managing the DOP/SOP Annual Review process.
    • Assist in user/security management activities in the EDMS as necessary.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
    • Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to multitask efficiently.
    • Ability to be flexible in a fast paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.
    • Ability to solve practical job-related problems, or recognize the need to ask supervision for assistance.

    Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge


    Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required, with abilities in Spanish a desirable additional skill.




    Basic mathematical abilities of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are required.  Some ability to apply basic concepts of basic algebra and geometry are desirable.




    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.  Ability to solve practical job-related problems, or recognize the need to ask supervision for assistanc

    Education and/or Experience

    • High School diploma required; Associate degree or higher education a plus.
    • Seven plus years of job-related experience.
    • Familiarity with technical wording and documentation.

    Physical Demands

    Required to sit, talk, hear, stand, bend, reach with hands, lift or move up to 25 lbs. (archive record boxes).  Vision requirements include ability to see and interact with a computer.

    Work Environment

    This position works in a normal office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
