Our devices assist in the delivery of chemotherapy, blood products, antibiotics, and nutrition.

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    This position provides direct support of an advanced nature to the Manufacturing Production Department by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production tooling, machines, and packaging equipment.

    Essential Job Functions

    The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive.  The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.

    • Inspects defective equipment and diagnosis malfunctions.
    • Examines used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirement using measuring equipment. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
    • Maintains production equipment and tools by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
    • Repairs production equipment and tools as required in emergencies to maintain production schedules.
    • Installs utilities for production areas such as electrical, compressed air, plumbing, and exhaust systems.
    • Orders parts, tools, and materials required for maintenance and maintains a supply of critical parts.
    • Maintains a preventative maintenance system for production equipment.
    • Responsible for daily collection of hazardous waste.
    • Ensure that optimum production output is maintained by minimizing downtime and improving quality of goods produced.
    • Ensure that repaired equipment meets company and Federal safety guidelines.
    • Will complete a minimum of 24 hours of HAZWOPER training to handle, store and ship hazardous waste.

    Basic Qualifications

    • One (1) year of vocational school in a related area.
    • Five (5) years of production maintenance experience or equivalency.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to read and comprehend English.

    The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.

    Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

    • Mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
    • Basic skills with machine shop equipment such as; lathe, mill, surface grinder, and welding.
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
    • Ability to read and comprehend schematic wiring and piping diagrams as well as engineering drawings.
    • Ability to operate all computerized programs utilized in the maintenance and production departments.
    • Able to perform work of an advanced nature.

    Physical Demands

    This position is in a maintenance shop, office and laboratory environments and requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to fifty pounds occasionally. The incumbent may be required to stand for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
