  • Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    Perform all shipping/receiving, inventory movements,  and warehouse related functions.  Also performs the set up and maintaining of braiders.

    Essential Job Functions

    The incumbent may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity.

     

    1. Handle all warehouse inventory and inventory transactions,and complete all related documentation and transactions in JDE or similar MRP system.
    2. Receive all components, raw materials, production supplies and miscellaneous items and complete all releated documentation and transactions in JDE or similar MRP system.
    3. Complete and distribute all applicable documentation in accordance with Company procedures and deliver receipts to appropriate locations.
    4. Staging materials for manufacturing.
    5. Collect and prepare all product paperwork for outgoing shipments.
    6. Prepare shipments, maintain control of lot numbers, complete all documentation; accurately file using FedEx and/or others online software for EEI filing, etc.
    7. Properly label all material received or to be shipped on site per SOP.
    8. Perform cycle counts/inventory movements and compare to  JDE or similar MRP system and alert appropriate people for discrepancy.
    9. Perform monthly inventory checks for stocked shipping supplies and other miscellaneous supplies and provide requistions in order to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
    10. Make sure all QC hold material is stored properly and in the correct location both physically an in JDE or similar MRP system.
    11. Operates various equipment as Fork lift, Picker, Weighing Scales, Manual and Electric Skein Winders, Rulers, etc.
    12. Works according to material specifications and procedures, written and/or verbal instructions.
    13. Performs the set up and maintaining of braiders. Prepare and maitain required inspection reports, scrap reports, and movement of materials via Material Move Tickets.
    14. Maintain move ticket log records and ship log records.
    15. Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe and orderly condition.
    16. Follow established company rules and regulations, safety precautions, and maintain quality standards.
    17. Maintain a good attendance and on-time record (punctuality) as outlined in the Attendance Guidelines for the facility.
    18. The ability to work overtime as needed.
    19. Perform other related duties as assigned.

     

     

     

    Non-Essential Functions:        

     

    In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may be required to perform other non-essential functions.

    1. Process all inbound and outbound mail; distribute incoming mail; pickup and distribute internal mail daily..
    2. Maintain warehouse in a clean, organized condition in accordance with Company policy and Good Manufacturing Practices.
    3. Contacts carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc) for facility shipment pickup scheduling.
    4. Use appropriate equipment for moving heavy articles, boxes, etc.
    5. Document maintenance of material handling equipment (ex. Electric picker, forklift, etc.)
    6. Support and assist in the development of lean thinking programs and participate in the implementation of these programs throughout the facility as required.
    7. Perform other related duties as required.

    Basic Qualifications

    1. Minimum 3 years warehouse experience.
    2. Experience using warehouse equipment, packaging equipment and filing EEI with FedEx a plus.
    3. Must be able to operate equipment to move heavy items, materials, containers, etc.
    4. Ability and skill level normally attained through a high school, technical or higher  education.
    5. Experience and or ability inspecting textile materials and textile medical products preferred.
    6. Ability to perform basic math functions, use conversion charts factors, and mathematical formulas.
    7. 20/20 eyesight  (can be corrected).
    8. Ability to read and understand procedures, specifications and diagrams.
    9. Knowledge of basic use of computer, word processing and spreadsheet ( ex. MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access etc.).  And basic ability to use JDE or other similar MRP Systems.
