    Essential Job Functions

    1. Maintain journal entries – review for signature requirements, reconcile to master listing, archive
    2. Perform monthly signature authority audit to ensure compliance with authorized signing levels
    3. Record and report division non cash awards to corporate payroll for processing
    4. Oversee travel authorization process and ensure authorizations are received for all required travel
    5. Review and code monthly American Express bills – airline central billing, business travel account, and company meeting card, process check requests with required support to ensure timely payment
    6. Prepare check requests for other recurring direct bill accounts as needed
    7. Log customer remittance checks and forward to corporate credit weekly, as well as work with suppliers regarding misdirected invoices and checks
    8. Assist with other special general ledger/accounts payable/tax projects as needed

    Basic Qualifications

    1. Position demands strong communication and interpersonal skills
    2. Must possess a high degree of maturity and leadership skills, and the ability to present oneself in a professional, confident manner
    3. Superior computer skills, specifically in the areas of word processing and spreadsheet applications
    4. Excellent organizational skills, strong grammatical abilities and excellent written and verbal skills
    5. Professional and helpful customer/sales force interaction skills
    6. Prioritization ability and good judgement/decision-making skills
    7. Individual must be flexible, with an ability to work in an independent, proactive manner, as well as part of a team

             

    Education and/or Experience

    1. High School Diploma
    2. Formal training in practical computer applications (word processing and spreadsheet programs)
    3. One to two years accounting experience or education

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear.The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. 

    Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an open cubicle environment. Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
