Vascular Access Devices, a sub-business unit of Medication Delivery Solutions, focuses on developing, manufacturing, and distributing high-quality medical devices used by clinicians throughout the worldwide healthcare industry to access a patient’s vasculature. Our devices assist in the delivery of chemotherapy, blood products, antibiotics, and nutrition.

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

This position will be supporting the outside US markets (Asia & Latin America) in various planning levels. The ideal candidate will have worked with international markets and be very comfortable with cross cultural communications and be knowledgeable in inport & export regulations. 

Work independently or under little supervision to perform Supply Chain activities for assigned product portfolio to optimize inventory, minimize cost, and set and achieve customer service goals. This includes forecasting, capacity planning, execution oversight, and monitoring and reporting of results. Provide input for SIOP process for a given business segment in order to align market and financial requirements with manufacturing capabilities.

  • Develop full understanding of product portfolio including medical usage, competitive positioning, and manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and maintain supply chain performance against customer service and financial goals
  • Manage regional demand planning for assigned portfolio
  • Support core SCM functions including SIOP, Inventory Planning, and Annual Budget Planning
  • Develop working knowledge of Bard regulatory and quality systems and change control process
  • Serve as primary contact for product supply for assigned geographic regions
  • Lead planning aspects of new product launches during pre and post-launch phases
  • Identify SKU rationalization and other lifecycle management opportunities
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies including inventory optimization and scrap reduction
  • Leverage Lean and Six Sigma concepts to develop and effectively implement advanced Supply Chain solutions and process improvements
  • Perform quantitative analysis of demand, supply and inventory issues
  • Collaborate and problem-solve cross-functionally with internal business partners
  • Develop decision support tools leveraging enterprise and desktop applications
  • Track and report performance metrics
  • Prepare executive-level presentations
  • Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in quantitative discipline with minimum 3-5 years of related experience in supply chain, manufacturing or distribution
  • Demonstrated understanding of product supply, distribution, quality management systems, and regulatory practices.
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare industry preferred
  • MBA/MS preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Skills & Experience: 

  • Medical device company
  • Planning software experience (APS, SAP, APO, JDA)
  • International experience 
  • Master scheduling/Demand planning
  • Experience with MFG-Pro is a plus 

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

  • Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to work effectively and implement solutions in a crossfunctional and multi-cultural environment. International experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; foreign language skills preferred.
  • Must be proficient in enterprise applications (ERP, APS, BI or ETL) and all Microsoft Office applications including advanced modeling in Excel and Access.
  • Must be able to maintain flexible work hours. Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25% is required.
