  • Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    The individual in this role will assist in the production of placing a drug coating onto a medical device. The candidate is responsible for a wide spectrum of manufacturing functions in a clean room/lab environment. The candidate will need to be a self-starter, highly organized, hands-on, and detail oriented. The Production Operator will take ownership of recurring manufacturing steps, drive process improvements within the manufacturing and production areas and actively participate in improvement projects.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Set up and control precision equipment to include: preparation of coating solutions, fluid dispensing, labeling, packaging, and heat-sealing equipment
    • Build test parts for engineering evaluation, pre-clinical studies and clinical studies.
    • Assist in preparation of work instructions and standard operating procedures.
    • Logging accurate batch documentation in GMP environment
    • Clean and maintain equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Work Instructions (WI).
    • Assist in inventory control.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated ability to execute standard operating procedures reliably and with consistent outcomes.
    • Experience in drug coating, active pharmaceutical ingredient handling, and working in controlled environment.
    • Motivated and energetic team player – enjoys working in a dynamic team environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Education and/or Experience

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree is preferred.

    Experience: 1- 3 years of industrial experience in medical device or other regulated FDA/QSR and ISO environment; previsous line lead experieince desirable


    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate tools, controls and office equipment. Work may involve continuous computer use with repetitive motion to wrists, hands and fingers.  The employee frequently is required to see, talk and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to bend, lift, reach or stoop.  In addition, the employee must have visual acuity and color perception to conduct clean-room and laboratory duties.  Employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment.  Inability to meet one or more of these physical demands will not automatically disqualify a candidate or employee from the position.  Upon request, the company may make reasonable accommodations.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work with chemicals and/or biological materials.
