    Vascular Access Devices, a sub-business unit of Medication Delivery Solutions, focuses on developing, manufacturing, and distributing high-quality medical devices used by clinicians throughout the worldwide healthcare industry to access a patient’s vasculature. Our devices assist in the delivery of chemotherapy, blood products, antibiotics, and nutrition.

    Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

    The position will be responsible for creating insights to develop and shape global market development strategies and initiatives, including metrics to track success.  Insights will be derived from the creation of sophisticated business analytics, comprehensive market models, and tracking of market trends and company performance.  The individual will provide data-driven, strategic recommendations to senior VAD leadership.

    Essential Job Functions

    The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive.  The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.

    • Develop systems to acquire, harmonize, organize, analyze and report on data from disparate geographies and market segments
    • Develop and manage business analytics and reporting for the VAD business segment.
    • Develop and manage comprehensive global market models for vascular access devices.
    • Analyze third party and internal market research reports to identify market trends and opportunities.
    • Build relationships with VAD and analytical teams in all regions to facilitate the acquisition and understanding of data, market and competitive trends
    • Work closely with platform marketing to standardize the forecast approach for identified new opportunities.
    • Explore competitive market intelligence in-depth, understanding each competitor’s positioning and strategy, and look for strategic opportunities for the VAD business.
    • Work closely with cross functional groups including R&D and platform marketing to influence platform strategies based on market research findings and market insights.
    • Leverage market data and business analytics to uncover business opportunities and make recommendations to senior leadership.
    • Involvement in strategic planning process, including opportunity prioritization, business analytics assessment, etc.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, engineering or related analytical field.
    • Four to six (4-6) years experience in marketing strategy or analytics, strategy consulting, finance or engineering, preferably in the medical device industry.
    • Strong ability to analyze complex data and extrapolate broader implications.
    • Experience with data analytics tools (including Excel).
    • Self-starter. Able to take initiative, and work with limited oversight. 
    • Experience developing and delivering business presentations to senior leadership.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.

    Preferred qualifications include:

    • MBA with concentration in Marketing and/or Finance
    • Experience in strategic marketing and analytics is strongly preferred.

    Physical Demands

    This position is in an office and laboratory environment and requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to twenty five pounds occasionally. The incumbent may be required to stand for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
