Overview

This position is focusing to ensure day-to-day effective functioning of facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using the best business practices to manage resources, services and process to meet the needs of the company.

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
  • Coordinate with corporate communication and initiatives
  • Participation of budget preparation and monitoring related to facilities needs
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion
  • Conduct and document regular facilities inspections
  • Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  • Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations
  • Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met
  • Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff
  • Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Advise on and monitor energy efficiency
  • Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
  • Lead a plant team to deliver technical support of programs
  • Responsible for the coordination of daily activities for manufacturing engineering, design, build and commissioning of new product lines and modification and continuous improvement for existing product lines
  • Responsible for the performance of new equipment and production line
  • Responsible for successful sampling and launch of equipment
  • Preparation and submission of AFE for machine, equipment and tooling and provide inputs for facility manufacturing budget requirements
  • R&D liaison with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and purchasing on the design and development of new products from concept through to launch to ensure DFMA
  • Leader for technology advances associated with tooling, equipment, and processes development to ensure flexibility to support rapid integration of design changes
  • Manage the mechanical design, development, installation and start up of production and packaging equipment and related tooling and automation application in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Key leader and participant for submission of DFMA, PFMEA and CTQ assuring that specification are well defined and documented, production processes-equipment are reliable and robust to deliver the specified launch dates for quantity and quality to meet the NPD program objectives
  • Leads Operation input in early supplier development and quality planning
  • Maintain global awareness of manufacturing strategies and ensure feedback to core team
  • Proactively advise team leader and management of developments which may affect product quality/specifications, schedule, and budgeted cost

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as business management or project management
  • Minimum 8 years in applicable experience in facilities or maintenance
  • Proficient in English and Spanish
  • Customer service orientation

  • Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with management, technical and operation personnel
