Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

Perform all shipping/receiving and warehouse related functions. Also performs the set up and maintaining of braiders.

Essential Job Functions

The incumbent may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity.

  1. Receive all components, raw materials, production supplies and miscellaneous items.
  2. Complete and distribute all applicable documentation in accordance with Company procedures and deliver receipts to appropriate locations.
  3. Staging materials for manufacturing.
  4. Use MFG Pro to document item receipt.
  5. Maintain all records of receipts and shipments.
  6. Collect and prepare all product paperwork for outgoing shipments.
  7. Prepare shipments, maintain control of lot numbers, complete all documentation and accurately by FedEx, UPS and/or others.
  8. Use FedEx online to file EEI information.
  9. Handle all warehouse inventory and inventory transactions, including boxed yarns (PET, PTFE, PP, PGA, P4HB, etc), fabric (rolls or webs or skeins) and Lubricants inventories.
  10. Perform weekly cycle counts in order to achieve inventory accuracy. Compare to MFG Pro and alert appropriate people for discrepancy.
  11. Make sure all QC hold material is stored properly.
  12. Also performs the set up and maintaining of braiders.
  13. Operates various equipment as Fork lift, Picker, Weighing Scales, Manual and Electric Skein Winders, Rulers, etc.
  14. Properly label all material received or to be shipped on site per SOP.
  15. Works according to material specifications and procedures, written and/or verbal instructions.
  16. Prepare and maitain required inspection reports, scrap reports, and movement of materials via Material Move Tickets.
  17. Maintain move ticket log records and ship log records.
  18. Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe and orderly condition.
  19. Follow established company rules and regulations, safety precautions, and maintain quality standards.
  20. Maintain a good attendance and on-time record (punctuality) as outlined in the Attendance Guidelines for the facility.
  21. The ability to work overtime as needed to allow for late FedEx pick ups when needed.
  22. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications

  1. Experience using warehouse equipment, packaging equipment and postage equipment.
  2. Must be able to operate equipment to move heavy items, materials, containers, etc
  3. Ability and skill level normally attained through a high school, technical or higher education.
  4. Experience and or ability inspecting textile materials and textile medical products preferred.
  5. Ability to perform basic math functions, use conversion charts factors, mathematical formulas and understand basic statistics and procedures for significant digits.
  6. Ability to read and understand procedures, specifications and diagrams.
  7. Knowledge of basic use of computer, word processing and spreadsheet ( ex. MS Outlook, MS Word,MS Excel, MS Access etc.). And basic ability to use MFG Pro or JDE or other similar MRP Systems.

Physical Demands

  1. Occasionally requires light physical effort as in periods of prolonged standing, sitting at inspection station or work tables or bending, stooping or reaching and/or occasional lifting of light items (i.e. up to 50 lbs).
  2. Being able to handle monofilament and multifilament yarns, as well as able to knot them together.
  3. Able to handle small items such as braided and tubular knitted subassemblies (ranging from a minimum of 2mm in diameter).

Work Environment

  1. May require some exposure to chemicals used in manufacturing and testing processes.
  2. Work is done within a warehouse environment. Job duties are a mix of computer work and manual labor (moving boxes, delivering packages, inspecting product, etc.)
