Bard Davol Inc. has a manufacturing facility located in Woburn, Massachusetts. The Woburn location manufactures four product lines which includes the BioSurgery line of products for the Davol division. This location is conveniently located just north of Boston, at the junction of Routes 93 and 95.

Bard Davol’s, Woburn, Massachusetts manufacturing plant has an exciting semester long, full-time Co-Op opportunity. Under direct supervision and guidance, this co-op will be provided an opportunity to be exposed to the medical device field and offered hands on experience working within the BioSurgery Research & Development group on hemostatic agents for the control of surgical bleeding. Working with cross-functional process and product development teams and alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to design solutions and the advancement of new process and product development projects. This individual would be responsible for compiling, analyzing and reporting operational test and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes or materials. You will be assigned to specific product and/or support teams.
In order to be eligible for the R&D Co-op position, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college/institution and be in good academic standing pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Polymer Science. Only students in their Sophomore year or above will be considered. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required (or 4.0 for those enrolled in programs with a 5.0 scale). The student must be available to work during session indicated and show demonstrated leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities.
