Under direct supervision and guidance, this co-op will provide an opportunity to be exposed to the medical device field and offer hands on experience working within the Research & Development group in an Engineering capacity. As a co-op in the R&D department, you will have the opportunity to use state of the art tools and take advantage of training courses offered on-site. Working with cross-functional product development teams and alongside experienced Engineers, you will contribute to ongoing technical and engineering support for end products. This individual would be responsible for compiling, analyzing and reporting test data to verify the performance of products, processes and/or materials. You will be assigned to specific product and/or support teams.
In order to be eligible for the R&D Co-op position, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college/institution and be in good academic standing pursuing a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Only students in their Sophomore year or above will be considered. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required (or 4.0 for those enrolled in programs with a 5.0 scale). The student must be available to work during session indicated and demonstrated leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities.
Session: 2018 Spring Co-Op Program (January through June 2018). Student must be available to work for a 6 month assignment - Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm.
This position is located in Warwick, RI and student will be required to provide his/her own transportation. Monthly commuter allowance available to those students traveling over 50 miles one way.
