The Marketing Intern is responsible for managing multiple marketing databases and tracking input information. This individual clearly communicates updates to the division in a timely fashion and works closely with the Marketing team for direction. The internship schedule is flexible and will last through the end of the year. The position is based in our Louisville, CO design center for Bard Medical Division (BMD).

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities

The intern is responsible for current and future information tracking, along with developing new processes for consolidating field feedback. In addition, he/she will be responsible for identifying opportunities that will expand BMD market penetration with current customers. The Marketing Intern demonstrates accountability within the BMD Marketing Department, takes an active role in day-to-day operations, and a lead role in handling business activities for information integration.

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyze feedback from the field and perform appropriate research to understand product segment potential – understand market segment potential, trends, and needs
  • Proactively identify and execute on marketing support needs
  • Execute marketing plans for the segment- including database management and information input
  • Monitor marketing processes and develop new strategies for information consolidation
  • Define, develop and execute processes for tracking information in Microsoft Excel
  • Optimize feedback to the team for summary statements and/or trends.

Basic Qualifications

• Analytical/Strategic thinking ability and mental agility • Strong attention to detail • Ability to write and execute a marketing plan • Excellent listening and problem solving skills • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills. Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Education and/or Experience

Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Admin or Biomedical engineering.

  • Experience with computer databases a plus
  • Experience solving problems and making recommendations to management.
  • Experience executing projects in a team environment and managing day-to-day activities related to project expectations.

Physical Demands

Employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk and hear.  May occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment

This position works in a normal office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.  No travel is required.
