| Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: |
Under the general supervision and leadership of the President, Bard Japan Division, establish, implement and manage the Marketing strategies necessary for the maintenance and growth of the joint venture in Japan. As a key member of the Bard Japan Management Board, take an active role in the overall business directions through necessary strategic and tactical recommendations and decisions.

| Essential Job Functions: |
- Manage approximately $70MM of C.R. Bard’s strategic businesses via Japanese Joint Venture (Medicon).
- Understanding, influencing and implementing Bard’s Global Divisional strategies in Japan.
- Develop clinical knowledge to a level to successfully influence physicians.
- Manage the Medicon relationship, including: pricing, training, marketing programs and Bard interface with the Regulatory functions at both the design center and Medicon.
- Manage all aspects of successful New Product Releases and manage all details around Global Product Launch Process.
- Develop and manage all budgeting, forecasting and sales analysis as needed.
- Grow sales of all designated Bard divisions in Japan through Bard’s joint venture (Medicon) which at least meets if not exceeds the Bard Corporate goals of 10% in revenue and 14% in income.
- Manage all aspects of business regarding the successful product growth of each of the Bard divisions managed.
- Support Medicon and the divisions by helping to remove impediments blocking success.
10. Possess a fundamental understanding of the regulatory approval process in Japan and be capable of leading specific regulatory projects necessary for the approval and launch of a product in Japan. This may require interface with MHLW and the PMDA to gain market approval

| Basic Qualifications: |
1. Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of three (3) years experience in medical device industry preferred.
3. Willing to travel up to 40%, including International.

| Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge: |
Japanese fluency preferred.
|
| Education and/or Experience: |
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in medical device industry preferred.
- Fundamentals of sales and marketing strategy and execution are required.
- Excellent communication skills, Japanese fluency preferred.
- Appropriate personality to work with Bard global product managers and Japanese culture.
