Overview:
The Incoming Quality Inspector will conduct Quality Control Inspection activities to determine product acceptance of components and finished products while assuring procedures are complied with and proper records are maintained.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.
  • Perform first article inspections to support the component qualification process.
  • Read and interpret specifications and part prints, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T).
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required
  • Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics.
  • File incoming component device history records.
  • Train contract / temporary employees in the Incoming inspection Davol procedures.

 



Basic Qualifications:
•Associates Degree in Science and/or three years related experience
•Working knowledge of mechanical and physical inspection techniques (calipers, micrometers, blueprint reading, etc.)
•Required knowledge of inspection/sampling techniques and familiarity with ANSI/ASQZ1.4
•Knowlwdge of FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 9000 and ISO 13485

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:
  • Mechanical Aptitude, PC Applications (Microsoft Office)
  • Certified Quality Inspector Certification a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Special projects as assigned.
