| Overview: |
The Sterilization Supervisor position is located at Bard Medical Division's Madison Georgia facility.
|
| Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: |
The Sterilization Supervisor supervises the daily activities of hourly and weekly workforce in sterilization facilities. Ensures adherence to all Plant and Division SOPs, DOPs, QSR Guidelines, ISO standards and FDA requirements. Supports, develops and administers department budget(s). Provides a work environment that provides open communication and Bard values of quality, integrity and service.

| Essential Job Functions: |
- 1. Ensures adequacy of staff through interviewing, hiring and training of employees.
- 2. Prepares work schedules, expedites workflow and assists in the daily set-up of various operational activities. Delegates duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Studies and standardizes procedure to improve efficiency.
- 3. Identifies and maintains items needed to support sterilization and is responsible for submitting these requests to the Purchasing Department.
- 4. Participate actively in all Lean Thinking initiatives.
- 5. Work proficiently in all aspects of the Material Resource Planning system (MRP) applicable to sterilization,
- 6. Responsible for compiling and submitting monthly departmental reports, such as budget, WIP inventory, cost variances and a variety of reports designed to measure performance of the Operation.
- 7. Ensure proper training of employees and conformance to all SOPs and DOPs.
- 8. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Bard policies and procedures, QSR and FDA guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations.

| Basic Qualifications: |
• Strong leadership and motivational skills required.
• Working knowledge of quality programs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions in Basic English and write short correspondence / memos. Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff, internal customers and other employees within the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, exponents, etc. Ability to apply mathematical operations to various tasks.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must be a self-starter. Position requires good logic and reasoning ability. Ability to define problems and find logical solutions. Must evaluate and resolve daily issues by exercising sound judgement. Various reports and related documents must be completed on timely basis to avoid product backorders and other delays and to inform management of operational performance.

| Education and/or Experience: |
- Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years working in a GMP compliant medical device processing operation with supervisory responsibility.
