| Overview: |
We are looking for a Manager for the Research Education Specialist Team for our Electrophysiology Division. Located in Lowell, Massachusetts, we are a global leader in the development of products used to diagnose and treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias.

| Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: |
This managerial role provides management to field based Research Education Specialist (RES). Provide guidance and direction to the RES team in support of Global Clinical Affairs Projects. Uses judgments within broadly defined policies and practices and solves most problems without assistance. Through collaboration with clinical core team members, ensures RES programs and educational training offerings are carried out to a standard consistent with regulatory, corporate and clinical policies and procedures. Develops and executes RES staffing plan. Also facilitates the appropriate RES resources for projects, and promotes staff training and development. Manages RES team to ensure the clinical affairs deliverables are met and are of the highest standards. Interfaces with cross-functional departments, senior clinical management, medical directors, senior functional management, and acts as Bard Electrophysiology representative.
In addition this position will also be responsible for coordinating, implement and provide on –site clinical and technical support for HD Mesh Ablator System during clinical trial participation. Provide additional support to the EU Mesh customers, and when appropriate, Global commercialization of the product. The incumbent will be required to train physicians, allied professionals and lab staff on the Bard HD Ablator System and advise on the clinical application issues during the conduct of the clinical trial.
The applicant will be required to advise on clinical issues related to the technology operations of the HD Mesh Ablator system, specific recording requirements of the technology operation in relation to the data collection for the clinical study, and will provide site guidance by interfacing with both physicians and allied professionals.

| Essential Job Functions: |
The incumbent may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by necessity. Manage the Research Education Specialist (RES) group in support of project objectives Responsible for training, mentoring, development, and management of the RES clinical team in accordance with Bard EP policies Prioritizes RES assignments and identifies roles in support of clinical trials across Bard EP Foster open communication among remotely located team members and provides a conduit for information to senior management Works with RES team to understand market / physician questions and work with internal team to develop content to address these questions Responsible for developing the future strategy for the Research Education Specialist Team Develop, plan, and execute training policies for clinical investigations that meet the laws, regulations, standards and guidance governing the conduct of clinical studies Interface with Project Management or Operational Management to develop project objectives for the staff, staffing plans and gather performance feedback Establish best practices and implements process efficiencies where possible Seek and develop productive relationships with internal and external customers Assist in the training of investigators, study co-coordinators and other allied professionals in all technical aspects of the HD Mesh Ablator System Provide essential clinical and technical support at investigational sites by attendance at the procedures Ensure investigational site adheres to study protocol. Support that Good Clinical Practices are followed Provide guidance on recording and tracking supplies utilized with the HD Mesh Ablator System. Ensure proper record keeping and disposition of the HD Mesh Ablator System components Act as a liaison with the professional groups engaged in management of clinical trials (e.g. CRO's, Clinical Affairs), and the commercialized product managers (EU and US when appropriate) Facilitate communications with the Clinical Affairs group to reinforce the protocol requirements to both physicians and allied professionals. Act as a liaison with the Clinical Affairs Project Manager and the physicians. Attend trade shows, provides booth coverage and cover pertinent clinical presentations Attend Symposia, investigator meetings Develop and maintain professional relationships with hospitals, doctors, nurses, and related Bard Electrophysiology customers. Complete monthly reports in accordance with established procedures and policies. Assess and Report status of RES team to CA management on a monthly basis, identify areas of improvement and provide solution oriented proposals Assess RES team capabilities and make recommendation for development areas Identify, report, and develop, training needs assessments. Create assessment plans, monitor physicians progress, create best practices guidelines, and evaluate technology adoption and implementation of the HD Mesh Ablator System Mentor Research Education Specialists (RES) regarding EP industry and Bard specific processes Comply to Bard core training requirements, RES Global Training Plan, Stand Operating Procedures (SOP's) and corporate policy
Post CE Approval Marketing Development and Support Liaise and communicate with Global Marketing to provide training and clinical support to customers in accordance with the HD Mesh Ablator Launch Plan Function as a cross-functional team member to all supporting departments to include but not limited to clinical affairs, research and development, pre-clinical, sales, customer market development, medical affairs, and marketing Provide clinical support to new and existing users on all aspects of the HD Mesh Ablator Coordinates and assists in the development of educational-training offerings Provide Technical Consulting for internal and external customers expanding RES involvement throughout HD Mesh Ablation product cycle

| Basic Qualifications: |
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Professional Registered Nurse (RN) (current license preferred), or allied professional certification required
* Minimum six years clinical experience in electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization, or critical care nursing
* Prior clinical research experience required, including prior clinical trial experience, site training and case support.
* Prior management experience required, 1-3 years
* Excellent written, computer and verbal communication skills.
* Previous teaching or medical device industry experience preferred.
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs
* Current valid US driver license as this position will require a high level of domestic travel within the US (approximately 80-90%)l some international travel will also be required
* The preferred location for this position is Boston or northern New Jersey
